Without a validly executed Will the state decides how and to whom the estate is distributed. At a minimum everyone should have a valid and up-to-date will; ideally you’ll have a valid will with the bulk of your estate controlled by a trust.
You do not need to be wealthy to benefit from a properly executed Will and Trust.
Social Media Will is very important in this digital age. Social Media Will should clearly and explicitly spell out your instructions for managing your digital assets in the event you become incapacitated or deceased. Even with a traditional Will and Trust arrangement you’ll need a Social Media Will as these assets (Facebook, LinkedIn, iTunes, Google+, Yahoo!, AOL, MySpace, SecondLife, etc.) are restricted by license agreements and are typically not of the type of asset you can title in a Trust account.
Contact me to get started with your Estate Planning. My fees start at $75 for a simple Wills start and $450 for Trusts (the fee does not include signing with witnesses–I’m able to charge low fees because my overhead expenses are low, and these savings are passed along in the form of low fees. However, I will work with you).
